The reason why many decaffeinated coffees taste inferior to their caffeinated counterparts is that poor quality coffee beans are used. With this particular lot, fresh coffee is harvested in the regions surrounding the decaffeination facility itself. With a high quality raw ingredient, we receive high quality and delicious decaf!

Colombia is uniquely placed to offer this exceptional quality of flavour owing to its continuous harvest season. It’s a country of reliable sunlight, rainfall and altitudes that mean there is fruit to be picked all year round.

The Sugarcane process uses a compound derived from locally grown sugarcane which is then used in a solution with water and coffee. This compound bonds to the caffeine molecules so efficiently, the remaining molecules (those responsible for flavour) are left intact.
