About Ethiopia Bench Sheko Nº 307
The producers from the Bench Sheko community in SW Ethiopia grow coffee on small family farms. The coffee cherries are pulped, washed and dried using traditional methods and the result is typical of the region - lots of vibrant floral fruit notes, citric acidity and sweet brown sugar flavour.
This is quintessential Ethiopian coffee from the original home of coffee itself!

Hand-harvested cherries are carefully picked every 8–10 days to ensure only the ripest, deep red fruit is selected. After harvesting, the cherries are immersed in water, and any that float—indicating underripe or defective fruit—are removed.
The quality cherries that sink are de-pulped, fermented, and washed to reveal clean, vibrant beans. They’re then sun-dried on raised beds to achieve the perfect moisture balance.
This coffee also supports the Village Pure Water Project, which builds clean water wells in the Bench Sheko community. Since 2021, the initiative has provided safe, clean water to over 950 families.
