For much of our coffee line-up each year, we try to work with farmers with whom we’ve established more long term relationships. We see this as the most truly sustainable way to buy coffee (socially, economically and environmentally).
We bring together import and export partners, whom we trust, to help us get the coffee from farm to roastery. E.g. Raw Materials - a non-profit organization building infrastructure and stability in rural coffee growing communities. Coffee Bird - a mother and daughter team who established an export business to bring their own farm’s coffees to the UK and who now assist their neighbours in accessing these same markets.
