Ecommerce Manager

We're looking for an Ecommerce Manager to join us for our next stage of growth. As one of the UK's leading direct-to-consumer roasters, our website is where is all starts for most of our customers. It's one of our most important assets, and we need someone to take the helm.

What the job looks like...

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the overall performance of our ecommerce platform, driving revenue, retention and conversion improvements.
  • Deliver customer-centric digital experiences aligned with brand and business objectives.
  • Support digital marketing initiatives across acquisition, retention, and lifecycle journeys. 

Platform Management:

  • Lead Shopify Plus upgrades and complex integrations. 
  • Manage developers, agencies, and tech partners to ensure smooth implementation and ongoing technical excellence.
  • Translate business goals into clear technical requirements and project plans.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Shopify storefront, including product setup, management, and content updates.

UX, CRO, SEO & LLM

  • Partner with design teams to optimise UX/UI, ensuring intuitive navigation, high-performing mobile experiences, and a frictionless checkout.
  • Run A/B tests and leverage insights to refine user journeys and lift conversion rates.
  • Apply SEO best practices and foundational LLM/AI knowledge to improve discoverability and personalisation.
  • Work with subscription, loyalty, rewards and referral platforms to enhance retention and customer lifetime value.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Analyse ecommerce KPIs (traffic, conversion, AOV, CLV, etc.) and turn data into actionable recommendations.
  • Continuously monitor site performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements.

Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor junior team members across ecommerce, digital merchandising, and digital operations.
  • Partner with marketing, operations, and projects to deliver a seamless end-to-end customer experience.
  • Align stakeholders around ecommerce initiatives, roadmaps, and performance priorities. 

What you'll bring...

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience managing Shopify Plus stores.
  • Proven success leading technical migrations, integrations, or large-scale site upgrades. 
  • Strong knowledge of subscriptions, loyalty, rewards, and referral technologies.
  • Deep understanding of ecommerce best practices, digital merchandising, and customer journey design.
  • Proficiency with ecommerce analytics tools (GA4, Shopify Analytics, etc.).
  • Ability to turn data into strategic decisions that drive CRO and revenue growth.
  • Experience developing or collaborating on dashboards and performance tools. 
  • Excellent leadership, communication and management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with a customer-first mindset.

CRM Manager

We’re now looking for a CRM Manager to take ownership of our customer lifecycle strategy as we enter the next stage of growth. You’ll lead our end-to-end customer communications across email and other owned channels, driving retention, engagement and long-term customer value through compelling content.

This is a commercially focused role with real impact — responsible for turning data and insight into high-performing campaigns, automations and personalised customer journeys. What the job looks like...

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Own and evolve our email marketing strategy, driving lifecycle performance across acquisition, retention and subscription growth.
  • Help to plan and deliver the email campaign calendar in line with trading priorities, launches and key commercial moments.
  • Build and optimise automated email journeys to increase repeat purchase, retention and customer lifetime value.
  • Use data and segmentation to improve personalisation, performance and revenue contribution across email and other owned channels.
  • Collaborate with the wider Marketing Team to deliver commercially aligned, on-brand customer communications.

Email and Lifecycle Strategy:  

  • Own and evolve our email marketing strategy across acquisition, onboarding, retention and reactivation.
  • Develop segmentation strategies to deliver personalised, relevant communications aligned with Rave’s mission to make great coffee accessible and exciting.
  • Support subscription growth and retention through targeted email journeys and campaign activity.

Campaign Management: 

  • Plan and execute the email campaign calendar, aligned with trading/brand priorities, product launches and key commercial moments.
  • Lead the creation of high-performing, engaging email content that brings our brand voice to life.
  • Work closely with the e-commerce, design, and customer service teams to ensure a cohesive brand experience.
  • Track and report on key metrics including revenue attribution, open rate, CTR, conversion, churn and retention, using insight to inform optimisation

Automation and Optimisation: 

  • Build, maintain and optimise automated email and multi-channel flows.
  • Continuously test subject lines, content, timing and segmentation to improve performance.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to increase LTV, AOV and repeat purchase rate through email and other owned channels.

Platform Ownership: 

  • Own and manage our CRM platform (Klaviyo).
  • Maintain strong data hygiene, segmentation structure and compliance best practice.
  • Explore integrations and improvements that enhance performance and insight

What you'll bring... 

  • Proven experience in a hands-on CRM or Email Marketing role, ideally within a DTC ecommerce business. 
  • Strong working knowledge of Klaviyo, including campaign builds, flow creation, segmentation and performance reporting. 
  • A commercial mindset with a solid understanding of lifecycle marketing and retention.
  • The ability to create clear, engaging email content that reflects brand voice and makes complex topics simple and accessible.
  • Strategic thinking, hands-on execution and being collaborative in a fast-moving environment.

Bonus points for...

  • Experience within a subscription-based business.

  • Experience with SMS and/or WhatsApp marketing.

  • Basic design capabilities (Adobe Photoshop, InDesign or similar).

  • Working knowledge of Shopify and associated apps and integrations

  • Confidence making basic HTML edits within email templates
