What is speciality coffee?

Speciality coffee refers to the highest quality coffee beans, ethically sourced, and carefully roasted to enhance their unique flavours. Graded above commercial coffee, it is judged on factors like aroma, flavour, and aftertaste. 

 

At RAVE, we source all of our coffee sustainably, working with farmers to select the finest beans.

 

All of our beans score 82 points or above on the Speciality Coffee Association scale for quality for all of our blends; and 84+ for our single origins as a minimum starting point. 

We only roast in small batches to preserve quality, and offer a wide range of flavours, from sweet and fruity to rich and chocolatey.
