Smooth and sweet, almond, fudge and dark chocolate with a black tea finish.
This coffee is produced by 16 smallholders in Hatuego Village in the hills above Letefoho township.
The village name of Hatuego comes from a local Mambae language meaning "stones in the high place". Villagers assume it was named after the number of huge rocks that exist around the village.
Access to the village is very limited as their is no road for bikes or cars, farmers have to bring all of their parchment to the nearest village of Leubasa via horseback.
