It's been a few years since our last Costa Rican venture and we are pleased to bring back something juicy! This Typica lot is a honey process, bringing a sweetness and body that tastes like prunes, cherry and blackberry with black tea and some violet on the finish.
La Candelilla was one of the first independent mills created back in 2000. They used to deliver their cherries to the huge neighbour Coope Tarrazu mill but decided in 1998 (in the middle of the coffee crisis) to add value to their product taking control of the process. The farms and mill are run by 7 siblings covering 70ha of planted coffee in total.
