Sugarcane Decaffeination Process: The Colombian Sugarcane decaf process is unique in its ability to retain exceptional flavour while using natural extraction methods. This process uses solvent produced from fermenting locally grown sugarcane. The delicate process of decaffeinating begins by steaming the green coffee beans to remove the silver skins and increase porosity. They then soak the green coffee in the solvent which aids in the extraction of the caffeine. The cup retains sweetness and the original character of the beans. Due to being processed at origin it also reduces the carbon footprint over many other decaffeination processes!
