Coffee cherry tea is an herbal tea made from the dried berries (or "cherries") of the coffee plant. It is also known as cascara, from the Spanish cáscara, meaning "husk". It is different from cascara sagrada tea, a powerful plant-based laxative.
We are lucky enough to get our hands on some of this great stuff from our partners in Origin. It is sweet, delicate and packs a hefty caffeine punch. It can be made into syrups, tonics, infusions and brewed numerous ways.
This year we have two offerings from The Las Lajas micro-mill in Costa Rica, two different varietals from the same farm: Yellow Catuai and Villa Sarchi.
